You will need a valid Japanese driver's license, or an International Driving Permit, or an SOFA License for US Forces Japan, or your own driver's license and an official Japanese translation of the license if you are from Switzerland, Germany, France, Taiwan, Belgium, Monaco. The following "Terms and Conditions" is written in English. All Users agree and understand that the English version is the official "Terms and Conditions" over any translated version.
The User agrees to comply with these "Terms and Conditions" when participating in services provided from the Shop. Services will not be provided without agreement under any circumstance.
The User must fall under the following 4 conditions. If the User fails to fall under with either 1 of the conditions, the User will not be allowed to use the service. If the user is found to be using the service even though the User does not fall under the conditions, then the User acknowledges that insurance will not apply.
The User must have a valid driver's license or permit to drive in Japan (International driving permit based on 1949 Geneva Convention, SOFA license, etc.).
The User must have sufficient driving skill to use the service.
The User must understand that The Shop is unrelated to Nintendo and/or the game 'Mario Kart'.
The User must obey all local traffic laws and regulations. The User must have a valid driving license or permit to drive in Japan and must carry it at all times. The User must have sufficient driving skills to drive the kart.
In Japan, by law it is the Users responsibility to make sure the kart is operable with no dysfunctions that violates any local traffic laws. (Example:Side Signal Light, Headlights, Taillights, Break lights, brakes, acceleration)
Each User will be responsible for any traffic violations. The Shop or tour guide will not be liable for any fine or fees incurred by the violation.
The Shop may charge any unresolved fines or fees incurred by the User regarding traffic violations with local authorities.
In the event of a traffic accident, the User must notify the tour guide, local authorities, and insurance company.
In the event of a traffic accident, the User agrees not to enter into a settlement with the opposing party without the Shop's consent. The Shop will not be liable for any unconsent settlement agreement between the User and the opposing party.
All Karts are insured incase of an accident. The coverage of the insurance is limited and regulated. In an event of an accident, the insurance company will evaluate the incident. At this moment, the User must pay a disclaimer of 50,000 Japanese Yen. If the insurance company evaluate the accident is a result for reckless driving, the User may be neglected of coverage.
The User is responsible of any damages to the karts. The User understands that the Shop will charge for actual damages. Any damages involving the insurance company will follow clause 9. The Shop has the right to claim for damages.
The User agrees that they are not a member of a criminal organization nor is participating in a criminal activity.
The User may not permit anyone else to drive or ride the kart, unless specified by the Shop or tour guide.
The karts, when rented shall not be permitted to use commercially (courier service, advertisement) unless granted by the Shop.
Regarding Tour customers, users will not be liable for filling the tanks after the tour has finished. Regarding freelance rentals, except for necessary maintenance, the User must not modify the Vehicle, etc., such as by attaching stickers or installing devices, etc., without the Shop's consent. Furthermore, the Vehicle, etc. must be returned in its original condition and the User must refill its fuel tank before returning it. If the User does not return the Vehicle with a full tank, they must pay the fee prescribed by the Shop.
Regarding tour customers, this clause does not apply. Regarding freelance rentals, the User is committed to returning the Vehicle, etc. at the place and time prescribed by the Shop. If the User exceeds the rental time, they must obtain the consent of the Shop and pay a late fee.
The User agrees to make no claim whatsoever to copyright, portrait, and publicity rights related to photographs related to the usage of the karts and services provided.
If the User violates these Terms and Conditions, the User acknowledges compensating any claims made by the Shop regarding damages or violation penalties.
The User understands that the Shop and Tour guide has the right and authority to suspend a individual user from driving a kart depending on safety risks (reckless driving, not complying to tour rules, etc.). The User will return the kart as specified by the Shop or tour guide.
The Shop will not be responsible and/or liable to any damages caused to the User. The Shop has the right to suspend, cancel, and change the service provided to the User.
The User may not collect data, information, and images in relation to any media distribution. The User cannot collect data without the permission of the Shop.
The User understands that the Terms and Conditions may be updated without noticing or approval from the User.
We believe that sharing and discussing travel experiences with others is one of the true joys of travel. Therefore, to encourage guests to share their experiences with family, write about them on blogs, or post on social media, we offer a review price program. This review price applies when a user indicates their willingness to share their experience.
Since cases where experiences are not shared are extremely rare, this review price is automatically applied unless user specifically decline it.
(We do not verify whether a review was actually posted or the experience shared. The qualifying condition is simply indicating user's "willingness to share the experience.")
However, some social media platforms, such as TripAdvisor, Google, prohibit writing reviews in exchange for discounts. Therefore, this discount does not apply on those platforms.
If for any reason you prefer not to share your experience, please let us know. We will provide you with the regular price. And if you request it, we will keep your experience confidential.
